Team Work

This week in circle time we have been looking at what makes a good and bad team and we talked about what we thought the word 'Team' meant. After this we watched cartoons showing good and bad team work and discussed what went well and what we would change to make the team work better.

To use the team working skills we had just learnt about we went into the playgroup and took part in a number of team activities in our school colour groups. At the end of the lesson we reflected on how we worked well as a team and what we could improve on next time. 

I am PROUD!

This week during circle time we talked about showing pride in the things we do and in ourselves. We discussed what we meant by the terms 'pride' and 'proud' before sharing when we have been proud of in ourselves and of someone else. Our challenge this week is to tell someone that we are proud of them or show pride in something we do and share as a starter to next weeks circle time. 

Determination

Today during circle time we discussed what that word DETERMINATION meant. After this we thought about and shared times where we had shown this personal attribute in or lives at home and school. For example: 

• When learning to ride a scooter or bike
• When counting in 10's
• Using finger spaces when writing 
• When learning to use a knife and folk 
• When using our sounds to write words
